Ayrshire’s Arts Academy

Centre Stage was founded in 2006 to bring social benefits to its communities through participation in the arts. It runs a full programme of events and live performance; from musical theatre, plays and drama, to live music, dance and comedy.

This project was completed by AAC’s technical theatre team and included the delivery and installation of a control system for 11 over stage hoists with full positional control and one front of house hoist. In addition, we supplied a mobile touch screen with multiple plug in points for hoist operation and control.

The full system functionality includes:

• Multiple independent positional deads per hoist
• 50 cues with position, speed and delay functionality to be configured by the operator
• Show mode to select and run the pre-set cues
• Ability to back up show to a USB memory stick
• Joystick to easily vary the jog speed of the hoists
• On screen diagnostics.
